The Marist community in Melbourne has marked an important milestone with the official opening and blessing of the new Marist Centre Melbourne in Parkville recently.

Vincent Shanahan was born at Branxton in the Hunter Valley and is best known as the first Director of the new school at Campbelltown; as Br Laurentius, he served at St Patrick’s and Campbelltown, but died at a very young age.

What a wonderful and truly Marist thing it is to gather as friends and community! The Ashgrove Marist Association members met for a meal and reflection at the Marist Centre on the evening of St Patrick’s Day, opting for a ‘potluck’ dinner.
