The Marist Minute, a monthly publication, offers a short reflection on life, faith and being Marist. These reflections invite the Spirit into our lives as we praise and listen to God in the minutes of our Marist journey, recognising and inviting God into our everyday moments.

I continue to reflect that by assuming we need to be wary or fearful of strangers, we rob ourselves and others of the wonderful gifts that hospitality graciously and generously provides. Hospitable people have richer lives. Indeed, they have more fun! It stands to reason.
Hospitality invites us to be open, not only to a person, but to a way of being that is so different from ours. Our biblical tradition reveals a God who is love, a God who is hospitality. “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares”. (Hebrews 13:2).
