Members and friends of the Marist Association are warmly invited to participate in the National Online Gathering on Tuesday 27 October 2026, from 7:00–8:00pm (AEDT).
This special gathering, titled “Stewards of a Living Marist Legacy,” will feature a presentation by internationally renowned canon lawyer Assoc. Prof. Chad Glendinning JCD. Building on the momentum of the Association’s 10th anniversary celebrations in 2025, Chad will explore the significant transition from inheritance to stewardship within Catholic ministry.
Drawing on his expertise in canon law and Church governance, Chad will reflect on the vital role of public juridic persons in ensuring the mission of the Church continues to flourish in changing times. His presentation will challenge us to consider how the Marist mission can be sustained and strengthened through intentional leadership and shared responsibility.
Central to the discussion will be the importance of formation, authentic relationships, and the courage needed to respond creatively to contemporary challenges. Rather than simply preserving what has been handed down to us, we will be encouraged to embrace our role as stewards who actively shape the future of the Marist charism and mission.
This promises to be an engaging and thought-provoking evening, offering valuable insights for all who are committed to keeping the Marist spirit alive and vibrant for future generations.
Please register by 27 October, even if you plan to attend the Gathering with your Local Group.
