Melbourne Marist Association members are supporting a new project that engages Young Adults to grow community and connect with the Exodus Community, Heidelberg West, Melbourne, through volunteering. A gathering on 15 February run by Br Harry Prout, myself - Liz Wake, - Zack Pizzingrilli, Joe McCarthy and Br Tony Clark saw over 20 young people attend from Loyola College, OLMC, Marcellin College and Assumption College, to share a meal and begin to form community. Senior Leader Formation & Youth Ministry team member, Peter Woodhouse, who is based in the Marist Centre Melbourne, also joined in the event.

Most participants were former students who had previously engaged with our school ministry programs and were eager to connect. We are currently working through volunteer availability now that university has commenced. The primary focus will be on Youth and Holiday Bread Runs, both as opportunities for volunteering and strengthening community. An exciting project ahead!
