Association Members Jo, Mary and Mick enjoy catching up in Darwin
There was nothing ordinary about the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time for Darwin Marists, Jo, Mary and Mick, who came together for the second gathering of the Association's newest group.
We came together for Mass at St Paul's Parish in Nightcliff, run by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, which is known for its focus on inclusivity, pastoral care and social justice.
We caught up afterwards over brunch and were able to share with each other some of the joys and challenges of our work in different areas. While there are no formal Marist ministries in the area, we feel a strong connection to the Champagnat charism and feel inspired by each other's encouragement to continue the work of the Marists here in our own ways.
Any Marists relocating to Darwin are welcome to reach out to Mick to get involved.
