Step by Step: The Road to Our 2026-2028 Pastoral Plan

Following on from our successful National Assembly IV at Marist College Ashgrove in late June, significant work has been underway to collate all of the Assembly responses and feedback and commence the drafting of our Pastoral Plan, the strategic document that will guide Association priorities and activities for the next three years. Below are the steps in the Pastoral Plan drafting process, which we hope to have completed by mid-November this year.

  1. Collation of all Assembly recordings and collected material (COMPLETE)

  2. Material run through AI for generation into an initial Draft 1 Pastoral Plan (COMPLETE)

  3. Draft Pastoral Plan 1 AI-generated document reviewed by professional reader/copywriter (COMPLETE)

  4. Draft 2 Pastoral Plan document circulated to the Post-Assembly Writers Group for review (CURRENT)

  5. Draft 2 Pastoral Plan amended following Writers Group feedback

  6. Draft 3 Pastoral Plan sent to Writers Group for review

  7. Draft 3 Pastoral Plan amended following Writers Group feedback

  8. Draft 4 Pastoral Plan circulated to members and Local Groups for discernment and feedback at the 22 October Virtual Gathering

  9. Comments and feedback from members and Local Groups considered

  10. Final Draft Pastoral Plan presented to the November 2025 MASMC Council meeting for approval.

The draft Pastoral Plan will be circulated to all Association members immediately prior to the National Online Gathering on 22 October, after which Local Groups and individual members are encouraged to review the document and provide feedback.
