Over the last five years at John Therry Catholic College, we've been conducting a plant sale each Spring to support fundraising for Australian Marist Solidarity.

This involves using the time and talents of our Year 7-9 Garden Club students, who come together during their sport time. They help to propagate plants and seeds for the plant sale during the year.

We also ask for parent and staff involvement, including donations of cash pots or plants for the sale.

This year, on our Staff Spirituality Day, staff decorated some pots that will be used for planting in Term Four.

In Term Four, we sell the plants at the front of the College before school, and finish the week off with a barbecue sausage sizzle.

All proceeds of the plant sale then go to Australian Marist Solidarity.
