Pilgrims Reunite at Spirit-Filled Marist Assembly in Brisbane

From June 27 to 29, the Marist Association’s National Assembly in Brisbane became more than just a gathering of minds and hearts - it became a joyful reunion for pilgrims from across the years. Participants from the 2007, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Marist Pilgrimages reconnected, shared stories, and captured the moment with photos that radiated love, enduring friendships and shared purpose.
The Marist Pilgrimage is a 19-day journey of the heart, inviting participants to walk in the footsteps of early Christians through Greece and Turkey - and in the past in the Holy Land - deepen their Catholic and Marist identity in Rome, and immerse themselves in the Marist story in Lyon and at Notre Dame de l’Hermitage. It’s a spiritually transformative experience, creating lasting memories and relationships.
This weekend’s Assembly reminded us that the pilgrimage doesn’t end when the journey does. The bonds formed, the insights gained, and the spiritual awakening continue to shape how we live and work, and volunteer, as Marists in the world. As pilgrims reunited in Brisbane, they rekindled not just friendships, but a shared commitment to walking together in faith and mission.
