After an initial postponement due to Cyclone Alfred, Brisbane Marists came together on Sunday 30 March for their first gathering, embracing the theme of hope. The group used the Association Formation Module Hope: An Anchor of the Soul (found here) as a reflective resource, drawing inspiration from the biblical notion of hope as a steadfast anchor in life’s uncertainties.
Through prayer and discussion, participants explored where they find hope in their own lives and how trust in God strengthens them in times of challenge. The gathering was a reminder that as Pilgrims of Hope, Marists are called to look beyond difficulties and offer encouragement to others.
This inaugural meeting marked the beginning of a journey to build a strong, faith-filled community in Brisbane, where shared experiences and reflections deepen connections.
